Bruce A. Peoples

Bruce A. Peoples

Classic Car Specialist

Bruce Peoples, known to many as Big Block Bruce, joined the KIKO Classic Car Division for their first auction at the Cleveland I-X Center and has become a valuable leader in the Classic Car Division. He believes that we are located in the Heartland of Classic & Vintage Automobiles.

Bruce's interest in classic & vintage vehicles began at an early age while working along side his father in the family owned shop. The shop specialized in what we know today as "the Classic Muscle Cars." In the mid 60's and early 70's Bruce's interest in Big Block Cars grew. Then in the mid 70's he assisted his father in converting many of those Big Blocks to Small Blocks to gain fuel efficiency during the gas crunch. During this time Bruce started to really find his niche in casting numbers & casting dates of the components that were associated with the Driveline Assembly's of these Factory Hi-Performance Cars. Bruce started to collect these Drivelines since they were being removed due to the gas crunch. Then the interest expanded to studying all the original part numbers that were used to authenticate an original restoration. Bruce has been noted as one of the experts in the area of casting numbers & dates and was a resource used by Alan Colvin to help provide information for his series of books "Chevrolet By The Numbers."

Some of Bruce's favorite restorations of his own include a 1966 Impala 427-425hp, and a 1970 Nova SS L78, 396-375hp. He has experience in all areas of the Automotive Industry pertaining to Restorations, Sales, Consulting, Appraising, Authenticating, and has been used as an Expert Witness in Court Litigation, Insurance Mediation, etc.

In addition to the time Bruce has spent in the automotive arena, he has been involved in the music industry for nearly 40 years. Bruce also studied the authenticity of rare musical instruments, taught music, and sold musical instruments for one of the largest music stores in the area during the 70's & 80's. Bruce also assists with the KIKO Musical Instrument Auctions.

Bruce likes playing music, outdoor activities, and keeping up with current automotive & musical trends.
